In order to test ISL Conference Proxy ports, please use the following commands (one by one) within Windows command prompt or Linux shell (replace <server-address> with your ISL Conference Proxy address).
Note: If you have ISL Conference Proxy running on an internal IP using port forwarding on your firewall, please perform the tests below on a computer within your local network as well as on an external computer (so that you access your ISL Conference Proxy through your external IP - e.g. using a modem connection from your home computer)
Note: If you changed or disabled some of the default ports for ISL Conference Proxy, please modify or omit the commands below accordingly.
Note: Make sure the telnet command is enabled (Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Telnet Client )
telnet <server-address> 7615 telnet <server-address> 80 telnet <server-address> 443
If you get
Trying <server-address>... Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
then it is not configured properly - either firewall (closed port) or router (missing/incorrect port forwarding). Please inspect the situation or contact your network administrator.
If you get
Connected to <server-address>.
Press enter and you should get
HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request Server: ISLCP/4.3.1 <server-address>
(where 4.x.x represents your current Conference Proxy version)
If you see that output, then that port is properly configured for use with ISL Conference Proxy.
If all ISL Conference Proxy ports are properly configured, you have successfully completed the installation and have a running ISL Conference Proxy on your server.
