Upgrading to new version

Please visit http://www.islonline.net to host a meeting or join a meeting.

Important: You need to have a valid ISL Online products login to host a meeting using ISL Groop.

Server License

Upgrades are free of charge for ISL Online Server License users with active Extended Support Service. ISL Online Server License users with expired Extended Support Service are welcome to purchase Extended Support Service in order to gain access to the newly released ISL Online Server system. In case you have extended ESS you will need to create new license file and upload it to your ISL Conference Proxy server.

Quick Instructions for users with ISL Conference Proxy 3.1 installed

open web administration of ISL Conference Proxy http://localhost:7615/conf
login using admin account
click Online update link in left navigation
click Apply changes if you have automatic install

Description
Users can now subscribe to session notifications. If session starting time is set, subscribed users will receive an email notification 1 day and 1 hour before session start and at session start if the host chooses so. Session host, can also send custom notifications at any time.

#189085: ISL Groop(Windows - Alll): autocomplete for session invitations [New feature] More

Description
When sending session invitations from groop web pages, entered email addresses are saved for the user, and presented as autocomplete options the next time user wants to send email invitations.

#194293: ISL Groop(Windows - All): Cache size limit [New feature] More

Description
In the settings page you can now set the limit for the download cache. Default remains at 64Mb as before.

Description
When the client is trying to connect to a video stream, an animation is displayed in the video window (instead of blank screen).

Description
When images are inserted into the presentation, the upload progress is now shown inside the image.

Description
In the session menu, there is now an option to send session notifications. The email list for notifications is automatically filled with the addresses subscribed for session notifications.

Description
Zoomed/normal view can now be toggled with the F12 key.

Description
When viewing slides in 1:1 mode, there were pixels missing.

Description
Authenticate dialog that is shown when you are trying to join the session that either has not yet started, or requires authentication to join was not working properly. It has been replaced by a more user-friendly dialog that allows different methods of re-authentication to try start /join the session.

Description
If an authenticated user joined the same session more than once at the same time, the behaviour was undefined. Now the older client gets disconnected.

#194656: ISL Groop(Windows - All): Sharing layout on low-resolution monitor [Defect fix] More

Description
When a user with a low screen resolution was sharing content, the GUI became to big for the screen in sharing mode. This has been fixed by disabling other widgets to make more space in such case.

Description
The tool-tips for files now show all the file information.

#198752: ISL Groop(Windows - All): File overwrite [Defect fix] More

Description
When uploading a file with the same filename, it was sometimes possible to overwrite previous files without knowing. Defect was fixed so that now, every time your action would cause a file to be overwritten a dialog appears requiring your confirmation of the action.

Description
Parts of sound were sometimes lost, resulting in poor audio quality. The defect has been fixed.

#203445: ISL Groop(Windows - All):Clear queued stream data when stream is killed [Defect fix] More

Description
When stream data was being congested on the server, and the stream was stopped, the queued data was still being sent to the client causing even more network congestion. The defect was fixed so that now when stream is stopped all stream data is dropped by the servers.

#213130: ISL Groop(Windows - All):Podium video window visible in presentation layout with no podium holder [Defect fix] More

Description
When in presentation layout the podium video window was shown even if nobody was on podium. This has been fixed, so that now the podium video window is not visible in this case.

#225556: ISL Groop(Windows - All): Audio mode switch [Defect fix] More

Description
When switching from hands-free to push-to-talk audio mode, the guess speech filter was left enabling, causing problems with the sound. The filter now gets disabled when switching to push-to-talk, and enabled when switching to hands-free. There is also a notification about this.

The preferred audio mode was also not saved. It is now saved.
