Upgrading to new version

Please visit http://www.islonline.net to host a meeting or join a meeting.

Important: You need to have a valid ISL Online products login to host a meeting using ISL Groop.

Server License

Upgrades are free of charge for ISL Online Server License users with active Extended Support Service. ISL Online Server License users with expired Extended Support Service are welcome to purchase Extended Support Service in order to gain access to the newly released ISL Online Server system. In case you have extended ESS you will need to create new license file and upload it to your ISL Conference Proxy server.

Quick Instructions for users with ISL Conference Proxy 3.1 installed

open web administration of ISL Conference Proxy http://localhost:7615/conf
login using admin account
click Online update link in left navigation
click Apply changes if you have automatic install

Improvements

Major improvements

Improved audio module - improved speech detection algorithm, auto gain and echo cancelling. Problems with synchronization of audio status fixed.
Improved reconnects - session lingers for few minutes when owner is disconnected, reconnect does not close user interface.

Description
Errors when joining a session were shown in splash screen - they were not noticable and they were present just for few seconds. We moved them into a special message box.

Procedure to recreate problem:

- create new ISL Groop session

- join as owner

- one more participant should join

- participant should create new desktop sharing

- owner ask to share desktop

- owner ask for control - when ISL Groop is not at top then dialog was not seen

Dialogs are now top most.

Description
Desktop viewing stayed in synchronizing stated when desktop sharing was the only slide and activated.

Procedure to recreate problem:

- create new ISL Groop session

- join as owner

- one more participant should join

- podium holder/ session owner should share desktop

- participant will have 'synchronizing' text written and it will stay in this state

The defect was fixed.

Description
Desktop viewing stayed in synchronizing stated when desktop sharing was the only slide and activated.

Procedure to recreate problem:

- clear registry (CURRENT_USER/ISL Online/ISL Groop)

- connect two web cams (example: Logitech Quickcam Deluxe and Logitech Pro 5000)

- join demo session

- enter nick and email

- click ok

- main window appears

- click settings

- click video

- choose other web cam and ISL Groop will close

The defect was fixed.
