ISL Conference Proxy 3.3.4 for Windows and Linux (2011-08-09)

General Information

On 8th of August 2011 we have released 32bit Windows, 32bit Linux and 64bit Linux versions of:

• ISL Conference Proxy 3.3.4 (release date: 2011-08-02, revision: 20922)

ISL Conference Proxy Modules (all are available as 32bit Windows, 32bit Linux and 64bit Linux versions):

• ISL Groop 2.3.0 (Release date: 2011-07-29 Revision 20893)
• ISL Light 3.3.6 (Release date: 2011-06-28 Revision 20490)
• ISL Light 3.3.6a (Release date: 2011-06-28 Revision 20511)

Major improvements

• ISL Light - support for ISL Light Linux 3.3.0 programs
• ISL Groop - support for ISL Groop 2.3 program

Hosted Service

ISL Conference Proxy releases apply to server license owners only 

Server License

Upgrades are free of charge for ISL Online Server License users with active Extended Support Service. ISL Online Server License users with expired Extended Support Service are welcome to purchase Extended Support Service in order to gain access to the newly released ISL Online Server system. In case you have extended ESS you will need to create new license file and upload it to your ISL Conference Proxy server.

Quick Instructions for users, who have installed ISL Conference Proxy 3.1 or later

1. open web administration of ISL Conference Proxy http://localhost:7615/conf
2. login using admin account
3. click Online update link in left navigation
4. click Apply changes if you have automatic install

Improvements in ISL Conference Proxy

New features

ISL Conference Proxy - make /join work also for browser without support for cookies [ISLCONFPROXY-48] More

Description

ISL Conference Proxy did not support use without cookises for join page. Support for browsers with cookies disabled was added.

This features needs also ISL Light module 3.3.6a installed.

ISL Conference Proxy - add option to use intranet IP for GRID inter server connections [ISLCONFPROXY-47] More

Description

Implemented as a simple setting "Internal IP server address" in GRID settings, which will be used (only) for connections between server.

ISL Conference Proxy - make HTTP events work on VS development web server [ISLCONFPROXY-50] More

Description

When using Visual Studio development web server ISL Conference Proxy could not send HTTP events to VS development web server. VS development web server replies with

HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Connection: Close

Content-Length: 234934

...

If you wait for the connection to close, you hang because dev server incorrectly never closes the connection. Fix: use Content-Length if present and HTTP==1.1

Defect fixes

ISL Conference Proxy - Internal server error 500 on network start / authenticode [ISLCONFPROXY-43] More

Description

Procedure:

- download program from http://confproxy/start/isllightclient

In some cases download failed and ISL Conference Proxy reported "Internal server error 500". This was in case when authenticode needed more than 10s to sign the executable.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Conference Proxy - install zip fails to install modules that are not compatible with the current version [ISLCONFPROXY-52] More

Description

Install zip procedure should ignore all checks and just unzip the modules, fixed in 3.3.4

Procedure:

1. Run 3.3.3 installer

2. (normal step) Download updates_latest_PLATFORM.zip into folder path_to_install_zip/

3. (normal step) Restart ISL Conference Proxy

Modules that work on 3.3.5+ only will not be installed

The defect was fixed.

Improvements in ISL Groop module

New features

ISL Groop - Module - Support for XNET3 network protocol - for ISL Groop 2.3 clients [ISLGROOP-18] More

Description

New XNET 3 protocol was implemented:

- with extremely low overhead when multicasting small packets,

- with support for bandwidthg management

ISL Groop 2.3 implements this protocol.

Defect fixes

ISL Groop - Module - Webinar registration does not subscribe to emails [ISLGROOP-82] More

Description

When user registers for webinar, the checkbox for subscription to events does nothing.

When you register you automaticaly get subscribed to events, checkbox was removed.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Groop - Module - Missing translations - javascript datetime picker [ISLGROOP-77] More

Description

Support to translate javascript datetime picker was added in ISL Conference Proxy 3.3.5 release.

The defect was fixed.
