Upgrading to new version

Hosted Service

ISL Conference Proxy releases apply to server license owners only 

Server License

Upgrades are free of charge for ISL Online Server License users with active Extended Support Service. ISL Online Server License users with expired Extended Support Service are welcome to purchase Extended Support Service in order to gain access to the newly released ISL Online Server system. In case you have extended ESS you will need to create new license file and upload it to your ISL Conference Proxy server.

Quick Instructions for users, who have installed ISL Conference Proxy 3.1 or later

1. open web administration of ISL Conference Proxy http://localhost:7615/conf
2. login using admin account
3. click Online update link in left navigation
4. click Apply changes if you have automatic install

New features

External authentication remapping and custom profile settings More

Description

External authenticator may now remap users to different domain or username, case insensitivity may now be enabled. External authenticator may also write additional setting into user's profile to automate permission updates.

Public and private address custom setting More

Description

Forcing client software to use public or private address to connect may now be forced by ISL Conference Proxy based on client's IP.

Detailed licensing control More

Description

License usage can now be specificed in more details (not only concurrent limit). Licenses may be shared among a set of users.

Linux64 (Linux Intel 64-bit) client software More

Description

Support for linux64 platform in web pages for downloading 64-bit Linux ISL software is added.

Description

Detection of HTTP proxy is only done if direct TCP fails. It might shorten connection setup time to a couple of seconds down from a minute in extreme cases.

OS version reporting More

Description

Network Start now reports OS version to ISL Conference Proxy. The feature is now required, because ISL Light 3.3.0 and newer do not run anymore on Win9x, ISL Light 3.2.6 will be used on Win9x.
