Upgrading to new version

Hosted Service

ISL Conference Proxy releases apply to server license owners only 

Server License

Upgrades are free of charge for ISL Online Server License users with active Extended Support Service. ISL Online Server License users with expired Extended Support Service are welcome to purchase Extended Support Service in order to gain access to the newly released ISL Online Server system. In case you have extended ESS you will need to create new license file and upload it to your ISL Conference Proxy server.

Quick Instructions for users, who have installed ISL Conference Proxy 3.1 or later

1. open web administration of ISL Conference Proxy http://localhost:7615/conf
2. login using admin account
3. click Online update link in left navigation
4. click Apply changes if you have automatic install

Web pages language More

Description

Visitor's language and language variant (country) is now properly detected at the start of session. This solves the issue of sudden language change on second page reload for some visitors.

New features

ISL Online Tools support More

Description

Support for ISL Online Tools (ISL Network Start packaged as ActiveX/Netscape plugin). It is now possible to start ISL Online software instantly without any security confirmation dialogs.

Web server subdomains More

Description

Web server now supports multiple separate website templates. Default domain and customization can be specified by subdomain.

Web API getSessionInfoByCode More

Description

Added web API call getSessionInfoByCode support for adding parameters (command line, etc.) to session join link.

Web session cookies More

Description

Web session cookies are not required anymore for downloads on /start/program and /download/program. Affects users with disabled cookies in browsers.

GRID bandwidth usage reduced More

Description

Many GRID statistics are now downloaded by demand, average constant bandwidth is greatly reduced for GRID setups. Affects also System monitor and Network time modules.

DNS load balancer speedup More

Description

DNS load balancer request are now almost completely cached, CPU usage is greatly reduced for GRID setups with many clients.

GRID email setup More

Description

Test email button in Basic configuration now tests all GRID servers at once.
