We detected an issue with ISL Light 4.4.2116.81 (RDP connection not working when set as default and connect option 'Download client (longer connection time' enabled) and we have replaced ISL Light 4.4.2116.81 with ISL Light 4.4.2116.83 on the 16th of November.


All updates have release date set to 2021-11-10. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

Improvements

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Improve connecting to the AON computer via tunnel (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-5776] More

Description

The tunneling functionality was improved and now includes more info about tunnels. Additionally, users are now able to set their desired tunnel connection type as their default connection type for connecting to specific remote computers.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Preset toolbar position (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-5837] More

Description

Added the possibility to define the position of the toolbar. The position can be adjusted via the newly added setting or using the new command line argument:

--on-connect "main?toolbar_position=top"

Possible values for the command line argument are 'top', 'left' and 'right'. Changing the toolbar position via the toolbar during the session stores the changed position so that it is persistent even after ISL Light is closed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Disable start menu option with OEM customization (FEATURE) [ISLLIGHT-5872] More

Description

Added the option to customize ISL Light so that ISL Light will not be entered into start menu on Windows operating systems. The installer defaults command line which should be used is:

SkipStartMenu=true

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - User has to click two times in password field to input password after selecting a dropdown item [ISLLIGHT-5859] More

Description

In the restart/shutdown action dialog users had to double click on the input in order to be able to input the password. The dialog was redesigned, input is focused and ready to receive input upon first click on the field.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Do not scale remote desktop viewer when one to one fill mode is used (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5885] More

Description

Users might have experienced an issue while viewing remote desktop in 1:1 mode. The issue was present when operator had increased DPI set for his desktop and when 1:1 mode was selected, the remote screen was enlarged by the factor of the DPI. The 1:1 mode was redesigned, the remote screen will now be shown in 1:1 regardless of operator's DPI value set for his desktop.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Fix scroll info with 1:1 scaling mode (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5887] More

Description

Users experienced an issue where the scroll bar would appear when using 1:1 scaling mode even though the screen size would not be larger than the window size. The scaling functionality was redesigned, the scroll bar will no longer incorrectly appear.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Improve detection of keyboard layout (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5890] More

Description

Users with Korean keyboard layout might have experienced an issue with characters combining on local side instead of remote. Detection of keyboard layout was redesigned, it will now correctly detect if Korean keyboard layout is selected and thus combine characters on remote side instead of local.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Change error description for invalid access password (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5891] More

Description

Users experienced an issue where the error which was displayed after they entered the incorrect main access password in the change password modal was wrong. The error message was redesigned and now displays the correct error text.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Control the use of deprecated win95 api when enabling black screen (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5892] More

Description

Users experienced an issue where when connecting to a remote Windows 11 computer using AMD graphics card with the connect option 'Enable black screen' enabled, the remote computer would go into sleep. The black screen functionality was redesigned, the remote computer will no longer enter sleep mode when connecting to it.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Toolbar fixes (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5893] More

Description

Toolbar behavior did not work as expected. In some cases after making the viewing of remote desktop full screen and then pinning and unpinning the toolbar resulted in the toolbar not being hidden. Another window had to be opened in order for the toolbar to hide. The behavior of toolbar pin/unpin functionality was redesigned, the toolbar should now correctly hide if the toolbar is unpinned and the user click on the remote desktop view.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Light - Desktop v4 - Add "headless mode" to streamOptions when using single click to create session and tunneled connection is set as default (DEFECT) [ISLLIGHT-5902] More

Description

Users were unable to create a RDP/SSH tunnel if it was set as default connection for that ISL AlwaysOn computer and the option for "Download client" was selected. The issue was that for this type of connection headless mode should be used which overrides any other selected options. The connect via RDP/SSH by default functionality was redesigned, the headless mode option is now set and RDP/SSH connection is correctly created.

The defect was fixed.
