On 12th of December the following was released:

All updates have release date set to 2022-12-08. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

Description

The mbedTLS version was raised to 2.28.1.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Raise minimal macOS requirement (SPECIAL) [ISLALWAYSON-1768] More

Description

ISL AlwaysOn minimal operating system requirement on macOS were raised to macOS 10.14.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Skip notification on winlogon screen (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1668] More

Description

New setting called "Skip the notification and allow connection when no local user is logged in" was introduced in ISL AlwaysOn settings. When this setting is selected ( Show notification of incoming connection has to be enabled also ) the ISL AlwaysOn application will check whether a user is logged in. In case it is, the notification dialog will be shown, however in case there is no user logged in, it will skip showing of notification and grant access to connect.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Add guest id to constant uid calculation (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1728] More

Description

A new feature was added to ISL AlwaysOn where users can now set constant uid to ISL AlwaysOn installed on virtual machines.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Update AON tray icons (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1742] More

Description

ISL AlwaysOn tray icons were updated with newer icons. On macOS machines a higher resolution of those icons was introduced.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Run grant process on service startup (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1744] More

Description

ISL AlwaysOn now supports adding granted connections on service start. Users are able to provide grant blobs in registry when using constant_uid. If grant blob is valid, silent grant is executed upon service start and grant blob is deleted from registry.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Update pointer (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1756] More

Description

In previous versions of ISL AlwaysOn the pointer was always created by the ISL AlwaysOn application. In new version of ISL AlwaysOn the pointer is transferred from operator side and then displayed locally.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Add logs and signal handlers on unix (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1762] More

Description

A new feature was added to ISL AlwaysOn which will enable more logging of signals when uninstalling ISL AlwaysOn from a Mac computer.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Modernize osx launch daemon control (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1763] More

Description

A new feature was added where osx launch library for daemons now waits until macos launchd system handles daemon commands on install and uninstall of ISL Alwayson.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - File watch updates (FEATURE) [ISLALWAYSON-1767] More

Description

A new feature was added which issues a notification if watched folder does not exist upon installing ISL AlwaysOn.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Update command line handling of password and description (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1566] More

Description

Users experienced an issue where the description and password that were provided via command line arguments were not handled correctly in newly installed ISL AlwaysOn. The handling of command line arguments was redesigned and the issue is not reproducible.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Make the "Security & Privacy" text translatable (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1738] More

Description

In previous version Security & Privacy text was not translated. We've reconstructed Security & Privacy text and changed accessibility permissions. Text is now translatable.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Fix the tray icon hover tooltip window on Windows 11 (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1740] More

Description

ISL AlwaysOn provides a tooltip with useful information when hovering the icon in the toolbar. Previously, this was implemented with popup events, however as of Windows 11 these events do not get sent anymore. Now the tray icon detects when mouse is hovering it and displays the tooltip accordingly.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Enable high DPI tray icons on macOS (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1741] More

Description

ISL AlwaysOn tray icons were updated with newer icons. On macOS machines a higher resolution of those icons was introduced.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Clicking the question mark in window title has no effect (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1743] More

Description

ISL AlwaysOn provides users with manuals for all features with help icons. These icons were present for section headers as well, but as they do not have their own manuals the help icon was not clickable. This issue was fixed by removing the unnecessary help icon from section headers. The help icon also received a redesign.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Fix file synchronisation when connected to AON computer (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1748] More

Description

When connected to ISLAlwaysOn computer an issue occurred when Sending files with option Try to synhronize checked. The transfer failed everytime as ISLAlwaysOn did not know how to handle such a request. Support for File Synhronization has been added to ISLAlwaysOn.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Fix user id detection on macOS (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1750] More

Description

Users on macOS Ventura experienced an issue during installation of ISL AlwaysOn. The installation was successful, however the computer did not register as online. Installation procedure was redesigned, after installing ISL AlwaysOn the computer should appear online in the list of ISL AlwaysOn computers.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Fix Lock computer feedback in End session dialog (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1754] More

Description

When the "Lock computer when session ends" checkbox was checked in the ISL AlwaysOn settings and the user connected to that ISL AlwaysOn computer using the ISL Light, the end of the session dialog did not reflect that setting. Instead, the "Lock computer" checkbox at the end of the session dialog in the ISL Light was always unchecked. Now, in case that the "Lock computer when session ends" setting is enabled, the "Lock computer" checkbox will be checked and its checked state cannot be changed. There will also be the text that indicates that this setting was inherited from the remote computer.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Share my Screen should be grayed out when connected with ISL AlwaysOn (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1755] More

Description

When connecting to an ISL AlwaysOn computer, users were presented with "Share my Screen" option in Monitor dropdown. This option is now disabled when connecting to an ISL AlwaysOn computer since remote side does not have ability to show view of remote desktop.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Clear the last drawn line on linux whiteboard and prevent stealing of control (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1757] More

Description

Users experienced an issue with the drawing tool on ISL Light when connected on Linux. When drawing lines on the remote computer the last line would not get cleared due to a bug in the underlying X11 protocol. This caused ISL Light to steal mouse control rendering the user unable to operate their machine after the session had ended.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Black Screen doesn't turn off when disconnecting from ISL Light session (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1758] More

Description

When black screen was enabled, desktop plugin never checked if the computer had black screen enabled, thus it proceeded to end the session without turning black screen off. Tracking whether the black screen was turned on/off was implemented, and before the session ends black screen is turned off.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Recreate folder on startup (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1761] More

Description

Users sometimes experienced an issue where ISSC daemon folder was not recreated upon reinstalling ISL AlwaysOn. The folder recreation functionality was redesigned and the issue is no longer reproducible.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Update launchd delete daemon file (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1765] More

Description

Users sometime experienced an issue where not all files were removed from a mac computer when performing uninstall of ISL AlwaysOn. The launchd delete daemon function was redesigned and the issue is not reproducible anymore.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Macosx power management (DEFECT) [ISLALWAYSON-1766] More

Description

Users sometimes experienced an issue where ISSC stream on macOS laptops would not stream remote screen if the display was closed. The ISSC stream functionality was redesigned and now ISSC stream will wake up display when user moves the mouse or presses keyboard.

The defect was fixed.
