ISL AlwaysOn 2.2.1 for Windows (2014-05-28)

 

General Information

On 28th of May the following was released:

  • ISL AlwaysOn 2.2.1 for Windows (release_date=2014-05-28, revision=34548, platform=win32,os_version=0x5010000-0x7fffffff)

All updates have release date set to 2014-05-28. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Add option to specify desktop driver from viewer side [ISLALWAYSON-411] More

Description

Added option to select Desktop driver. The selection can be accessed from Tools -> Desktop driver. When connected to Windows 8 ( or 8.1 ) users are able to choose between Desktop duplication driver and polling/hooks driver. In case users are connected to machine that does not have Windows 8 or 8.1 installed only polling/hooks option is available.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Add support for program agent [ISLALWAYSON-417] More

Description

Added support for sending program agent data to ISL Conference Proxy. The program agent data will include program version along with operating system version.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Sometimes session does not exit on client side [ISLALWAYSON-374] More

Description

Users may have experienced ISL AlwaysOn file dialog not closing after end of session. This happened if network was disabled while stopping session. Stopping session functionality was redesigned, the session will stop even if network is not available.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Cannot delete access history [ISLALWAYSON-358] More

Description

Users may have experienced inability to delete ISL AlwaysOn history. When users clicked on the button clear and confirming the dialog the ISL AlwaysOn session history was not deleted. Deleting history functionality was redesigned and ISL AlwaysOn session history is now correctly deleted.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Missing translation "Computer cannot start ISL Light" [ISLALWAYSON-366] More

Description

Users may have experienced untranslated text : "Computer cannot start ISL Light". The text is now correctly translated.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop -  Messages received from client are not sent in the language chosen in AlwaysOn [ISLALWAYSON-390] More

Description

Users may have seen messages coming from client side in different language than the one they selected in ISL AlwaysOn on remote machine. Messages are now correctly send according to the language selected inside ISL AlwaysOn on remote machine.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Black screen can be enabled by connection options for windows 8 and it will be displayed on operator side [ISLALWAYSON-394] More

Description

If users selected ISL AlwaysOn connect option of black screen when connecting to Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 machine, the viewer side also saw black screen. Checking for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 was designed in order to prevent black screen appearing on the viewer side.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - When the following color depth is selected you will not see remote monitor: 16 colors, 256 colors , 15 bit  [ISLALWAYSON-403] More

Description

Users may have experienced inability to view remote desktop if remote desktop had color depth set to 16 colors or 256 colors or 15 bit color depth. The support for the mentioned color depths was added.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Sending CAD in service mode [ISLALWAYSON-412] More

Description

Users may have experienced issues when sending CTRL+ALT+DELETE sequence to remote computer. The CAD sending sequence has been redesigned and it is now sent from service. Users should no longer experience this issue.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - When connecting to VMWare machine , remote user lost control if moving mouse [ISLALWAYSON-413] More

Description

Users may have experienced user control switching back and forth between local user and remote user when connected to a remote computer with VMware Agent installed on their system. The issue only happened when remote user moved the mouse for more then 50 pixels from original position. In that case the remote user lost control , as the mouse move event was injected as it was done locally. This events are now processed differently, control switching should no longer happen.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Add support for neq on command line [ISLALWAYSON-414] More

Description

Users may have experienced inability to disable remote control using command line parameter control=disable. Support for disabling remote control was added to the command line arguments.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - improve start of connection [ISLALWAYSON-418] More

Description

In some cases Desktop plugin could send messages to operator side before the actual connection ( connecting phase ). This could cause potential issue. Desktop plugin message sending functionality was redesigned, the messages will be sent to operator side when the connection is fully established.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Reduce delay for stopping session [ISLALWAYSON-414] More

Description

In case the remote desktop session was in phase of being stopped and there was still data that needed to be send to the other side, stopping session caused a delay until data was send. Stopping session functionality was redesigned, in case the client gets disconnect event from server it will not try to send the data thus eliminating the stopping session delay.

The defect was fixed.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Resuming paused session does not clean all the structures [ISLALWAYSON-420] More

Description

Users may have experienced VNC.dll error appearing after restarting remote computer or switching system account on remote computer. The issue was that the messages from previous desktop session were not correctly removed on viewer side . The restart of desktop session was redesigned and the messages are properly cleaned before starting a new desktop session.

ISL AlwaysOn - Desktop - Handle session resume [ISLALWAYSON-421] More

Description

Users may have experienced inability to transfer session to other supporters. When user clicked on transfer session, the session did not pause and did not transfer to other user. Transfer functionality was redesigned, the session is now correctly paused when user clicks on transfer session and the session will be correctly resumed by other operator.

The defect was fixed.
