ISL Groop 3.1.0 for Windows, Mac and Linux (2016-04-08)

General Information

On 8th of April the following was released:

• ISL Groop 3.1.0 for Windows (release_date=2016-04-07, revision=45899, platform=win32, os_version=0x6010000-0x7fffffff)
• ISL Groop 3.1.0 for Linux 64bit (release_date=2016-04-07, revision=45899, platform=linux64)
• ISL Groop 3.1.0 for Macintosh (release_date=2016-04-07, revision=45899, platform=mac, os_version=0x0a0800-0x0affff)

All updates haverelease date set to 2016-04-07. Your ESS will need to be same or higher to be able to update your server. This release is available to all countries except Japan.

ISL Groop uses Qt library which was updated to version 5.5.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Start ISL Light session with participant (FEATURE) [ISLGROOP-665] More

Description

Added support for starting Remote Desktop session between participants. In order for user to start the session, user needs to have role of a host in the ISL Groop meeting and an active ISL Online account.

To start the session with the participant simply click on his name to expand the user options then click on Monitor icon. If ISL Light is already installed on the machine it will start that one, otherwise it will download the latest version and obtain a session code. Request is then sent to the selected ISL Groop participant which has to confirm the connection. After confirmation ISL Groop will automatically download ISL Light Client and start it.

Description

Qt version used in ISL Groop is now exposed in log file and in about box details.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Hide Ribbon does not work on OSX (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-131] More

Description

The button for hiding the ribbon was only sensitive to clicks at the very top. This has been fixed so the button responds to clicks on it's entire area.

ISL Groop - Desktop - HighDPI + mixed DPI monitors will break selection of sharing on Windows (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-406] More

Description

When sharing a screen on Windows with two (or more) screens with different resolutions and font scaling set, in some cases only a part of the screen was shared. In the same environment, if a window was moved while being shared, the sharing area did not move correctly with the window. These defects were fixed and sharing areas are now correct.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Cannot step up on podium if another user is on podium - Button is missing on OSX 10.10 (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-454] More

Description

The button to take the podium was not shown when another user was already on the podium. This has been fixed and the button is now displayed in this cases.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Unable to import .pptx files with Office 2013 installed on Windows (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-455] More

Description

When trying to import a presentation with Office 2013 installed, you were only able to select .ppt files, but not .pptx. This has been fixed, and .pptx files can be imported as well.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Japanese characters in chat widget too small (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-456] More

Description

Japanese characters in chat and some other interface text were shown too smaller. This has been fixed so when the interface language is set to Japanese, the character size is increased.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Full screen drops out after clicking something on secondary monitor (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-642] More

Description

On a system with multiple monitors, clicking on another screen while ISL Groop was in full screen mode, exited the full screen mode. This has been fixed and clicking on another screen no longer exists the full screen mode.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Update to make dmg and use v2 signature on OSX (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-647] More

Description

On OS X ISL Groop came as an .app file packed in a zip. It also used old signatures which caused "ISL Groop is from an unidentified developer" message to show. Now ISL Groop .app file is packed in a dmg file with background and icon. The signature issue was also fixed.

ISL Groop - Desktop - You can only import .jpg files and not .jpeg files (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-682] More

Description

When trying to import an image, users were unable to import *.jpeg files, but could import *.jpg files, in spite these files being the same format. This has been fixed and both *.jpg and *.jpeg files can now be imported.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Some buttons don't change to "focus" state on mouse hover in some cases on OSX (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-740] More

Description

On OS X some buttons did not show proper hover state when hovering over them with the mouse cursor. This has been fixed and hover state is shown.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Switch to using r301 to open online manual (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-752] More

Description

The "Online help" button was not using the r301 redirect link and opened the old manual. This has been updated to use r301 redirect and links to the new manuals.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Keyboard shortcut for full screen is not standard on OSX (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-756] More

Description

On OS X, the keyboard shortcut for entering full screen mode was not the standard Ctrl+Cmd+F. This was fixed and the shortcut now conforms to OS X standard.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Full screen GUI broken on Linux (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-759] More

Description

On Linux, when entering full screen mode, the message about how to exit full screen was not displayed in the center of the screen. Also, the ISL Online logo was not in it's proper place in the bottom left corner. Those issues were fixed and the message and the logo are now shown in correct places.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Remember position of slide thumbnails view after going and returning from full screen (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-775] More

Description

Position of slider for slide thumbnails was not remembered if user went to full screen mode and exited it. Functionality of full screen was redesigned, position of slider is now remembered and will stay in the same position after returning from full screen.

The defect was fixed. .

ISL Groop - Desktop - Settings for recording should show dialog in the center of ISL Groop application and not of whole desktop (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-776] More

Description

Window of Recording settings was shown in the center of the desktop instead of center of the ISL Groop application. Displaying of Recording settings was redesigned and is now shown in the center of the ISL Groop application.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Local mouse hides and is not shown anymore in full screen mode (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-780] More

Description

When in full screen mode, the mouse cursor disappeared until user exited full screen mode. This was fixed so the mouse cursor reappears when moved.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Incorrect color of status bar on Linux and OSX (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-786] More

Description

The background of the status bar was not correct on OS X and Linux. This was fixed and the background is now the same as on Windows.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Personal details should show dialog in the center of ISL Groop application and not of whole desktop (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-801] More

Description

Window of Personal details was shown in the center of the desktop instead of center of the ISL Groop application. Displaying of Personal details was redesigned and is now shown in the center of the ISL Groop application.

Description

Window of Export ( ISL Groop session slides ) was shown in the center of the desktop instead of center of the ISL Groop application. Displaying of Export window was redesigned and is now shown in the center of the ISL Groop application.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Expanding application does not work correctly on Windows (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-814] More

Description

If users expanded ISL Groop application on one of the monitors ( in multi-monitor setup ) the application borders were seen on adjacent monitor. Expanding of application was redesigned, borders should now not be seen on adjacent monitors.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Switching from maximized to normal stops working after full screen mode on Windows (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-818] More

Description

On Windows, after switching from maximized window state to full screen mode and back, it was no longer possible to return to normal window state using double click on window title. This was fixed, and switching window state after this scenario is now possible.

The defect was fixed.

ISL Groop - Desktop - Participants list folds after returning from full screen mode (DEFECT) [ISLGROOP-822] More

Description

When switching from to full screen and back, participants list folded regardless of it's previous state. This was fixed and the participants list remains in the same state.
